Ghirardelli Square Fudge Brownies
|Butter||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs), softened|
|Packed brown sugar||3⁄4 Cup (12 tbs)|
|Chocolate||3⁄4 Cup (12 tbs), ground|
|Flour||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Walnuts||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs), chopped|
Cream butter with brown sugar, vanilla and salt (just until blended); beat in eggs.
Mix in Ground Chocolate.
(Do not overmix.) Total mixing time is about 2 minutes.
Scrape down bowl; stir in flour and nuts.
Spread into greased 8 or 9-inch square pan.
Bake at 350°F for 20-25 minutes.
For extra chewy brownies, use 8-inch pan and less baking time.
For cakelike brownies, use 9-inch pan and longer baking time.
Cool on rack.
Frost if desired.
Cut into squares.
