|Unsweetened cocoa powder||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Baking powder||1 Teaspoon|
|Baking soda||1⁄4 Teaspoon|
|Eggs||2 , lightly beaten|
|Granulated sugar||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Vanilla extract||2 Teaspoon|
|Unsalted butter||5 Tablespoon|
|Semi-sweet chocolate||1 Ounce, chopped|
|Dried cherries||2⁄3 Cup (10.67 tbs)|
|Confectioners sugar||1 Tablespoon|
Preheat the oven to 350°F.
Spray an 8-inch-square baking pan with non-stick spray.
Combine the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt in a large bowl.
Combine the eggs, granulated sugar, and vanilla in a separate bowl.
Combine the butter and chocolate in the top of a double boiler set over simmering water and stir until melted, about 3 minutes.
Let cool about 1 minute; stir into the egg mixture.
Stir the chocolate mixture into the flour mixture, stirring until just combined.
Fold in the cherries.
Pour the batter into the pan and even the top.
Bake the brownies until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with a few moist crumbs clinging to it, about 20 minutes.
Cool in the pan on a rack about 15 minutes.
Remove the brownies from the pan, cut into 16 squares, and sprinkle with confectioners' sugar.
