Peanut Butter Brownies

|Honey||2⁄3 Cup (10.67 tbs)|

|Pitted prunes||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs), chopped|
|Chopped figs||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Chopped peanuts||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|
|Whole wheat pastry flour||1⁄3 Cup (5.33 tbs)|
Brownies are a favorite with young and old alike.
We make these with peanut butter and chopped fruit, not only for nutrition but also to keep them moist.
They carry well in the lunch box and they can be frozen.
Preheat oven to 350° F.and oil a 9 x 9-inch baking pan.
In a medium-size bowl, combine all ingredients in the order given.
Spread batter evenly in the prepared pan.
Bake in preheated oven for 20 to 25 minutes, or just until surface is firm to the touch.
Remove from the oven, cool slightly, and cut into 16 squares
