Cream Cheese Brownies
|Butter/Margarine||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Unsweetened chocolate square||2 Ounce (Two 1 Ounce Squares)|
|Granulated sugar||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|All purpose flour||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Baking powder||1⁄4 Teaspoon|
|Chopped walnuts||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Cream cheese||3 Ounce (1 Package, At Room Temperature)|
|Confectioners sugar||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|
|Butter/Margarine||2 Tablespoon, softened|
Combine 1/2 cup butter and chocolate in heavy saucepan.
Cook over very low heat until melted; stir until smooth.
Stir in granulated sugar, flour, baking powder, and eggs until smooth.
Stir in walnuts; set aside.
Blend cream cheese, confectioners sugar, and 2 tablespoons butter until smooth.
Pour chocolate mixture into greased 8-inch square baking dish.
Spoon cream cheese mixture over top.
Swirl gently with knife to create marbled effect.
Preheat oven to 350°F.
Bake 25 to 30 minutes, or until top is shiny and springs back when pressed.
Cool completely on wire rack.
Cut into 2-inch squares and store in refrigerator.
