How To Make Cadbury Creme Egg Brownies

WARNING: NOT a recipe for people on a diet. This decadent brownie is composed of three layers: A fudge brownie filled with creme eggs, a gooey fondant layer and a milk chocolate ganache layer- a perfect way to break lent, and a perfect way to celebrate Easter.

Ingredients

For the brownies:
Dark cocoa powder 1/3 Cup (5.33 tbs)
All purpose flour 3/4 Cup (12 tbs)
Salt 1/2 Teaspoon
Eggs 2
Brown sugar 1/2 Cup (8 tbs)
Granulated sugar 1/2 Cup (8 tbs)
Unsalted butter 1/2 Cup (8 tbs) , melted
Vanilla extract 1 Teaspoon
Creme egg/5 larger ones, quartered 12 Small
For the fondant layer:
Unsalted butter 2 Tablespoon , softened
Light corn syrup 1/4 Cup (4 tbs)
Vanilla extract 1 Teaspoon
Confectioners' sugar 1 1/2 Cup (24 tbs)
Yellow food color 1
For the milk chocolate ganache:
Milk chocolate 4 Ounce ((approximately 100g))
Heavy cream 1/4 Cup (4 tbs)

Directions

GETTING READY:

Preheat oven to 350°F/ 180°C.

Line a baking pan with aluminum foil and grease butter on it.

 

MAKING:

In a small bowl, combine flour, salt, cocoa and mix well.

In another bowl, combine egg, sugar and whisk well.

Add melted butter, vanilla and mix well.

Add flour mixture and mix well.

Spread half of batter into pan and spread well.

Arrange crème eggs on it and cover with rest of batter.

Pop into oven and bake for 20-25 minutes. Once done, allow to cool completely.

For fondant layer, combine butter, corn syrup and vanilla in a small bowl.

Gradually add sugar and mix well. Divide into two portions. Dye 1/4 cup of mixture with yellow coloring.

Spoon dollops of yellow mixture over white parts and give marble effect as shown in the video. Pop into refrigerator and chill for 2 hours.

For ganache, heat cream in a saucepan and pour over chocolate. Stir well until well combined.

Pour the ganache over fondant layer and refrigerate until set.
