Stir Fried Sesame Broccoli
|Broccoli||1 Bunch (100 gm)|
|Sesame seed||2 Tablespoon|
|Corn oil/Safflower oil||1 Tablespoon|
|Garlic||2 Teaspoon, finely chopped|
|Water chestnuts||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs), sliced|
|White wine||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|
|Lite soy sauce||2 Tablespoon|
|Granulated sugar||1⁄2 Teaspoon|
Separate broccoli into florets; peel and thinly slice stems.
Heat a wok over medium heat.
Add sesame seed.
Cook until toasted, shaking wok constantly.
Remove sesame seed.
Add oil and garlic.
Stir-fry for 15 seconds.
Add broccoli stems.
Stir-fry for 4 to 5 minutes or until tender-crisp.
Add broccoli florets, water chestnuts, wine, soy sauce and sugar; cover.
Steam for 3 to 4 minutes or until broccoli is tender-crisp, stirring occasionally.
Into a serving dish spoon broccoli; sprinkle with toasted sesame seed.
