Broccoli And Cheese Stratas
|White bread slices||2 Ounce|
|Reduced fat cheddar cheese||3⁄4 Ounce, shredded|
|Thawed frozen broccoli||1 Cup (16 tbs), chopped|
|1% milk||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Evaporated skimmed milk||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|
|Dijon mustard||1⁄2 Teaspoon|
|White pepper||1 Dash|
1. Preheat oven to 350°F. Using a 3-inch round biscuit-cutter, cut out a circle from the center of each slice of bread and set aside. Cut remaining bread into 1/2-inch cubes.
2. Into each of two 10-ounce custard cups arrange half of the bread cubes. Sprinkle each portion with half of the cheese and broccoli, then top each with a reserved bread circle. Set aside.
3. Using a wire whisk, in medium mixing bowl beat together remaining ingredients; pour half of mixture into each custard cup, making sure bread circles are moistened.
4. Bake in middle of center oven rack for 30 minutes (until a knife, inserted in center, comes out dry).
