Broccoli With Peppers
|Olive oil||4 Teaspoon|
|Yellow onion||1 Small, chopped|
|Garlic||2 Clove (10 gm), minced|
|Broccoli florets||4 Cup (64 tbs)|
|Sweet red pepper||1 Small, cored, seeded, and cut lengthwise into 1/2 inch strips|
|Dried oregano||1 Teaspoon, crumbled|
|Red pepper flakes||2 Tablespoon|
In a heavy 12 inch skillet, heat the olive oil over moderate heat for 1 minute.
Add the onion, garlic, water, broccoli, red pepper, oregano, and red pepper flakes, and cook, stirring, for 2 minutes.
Cover the skillet, reduce the heat to low, and cook 6 to 8 minutes longer, stirring often, until the broccoli is tender but still crisp.
