Barbecued Brisket

Ingredients
  Beef brisket 7 Pound
  Sugar 1 Cup (16 tbs)
  Salt 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)
  Monterey style spice blend 1 Tablespoon
  Apple cider/Cherry apple cider 1 Cup (16 tbs)
  Hickory smoke barbecue sauce 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)
Directions

Rub both sides of the brisket with a mixture of the sugar, salt and spice blend.
Place in a glass dish.
Drizzle with the cider.
Chill, covered, for 8 to 10 hours.
Place the brisket fat side up with the marinade in a baking pan; cover loosely with foil.
Bake at 250 degrees for 7 hours, or 1 hour per pound.
Pull or shred the brisket and mix with desired amount of barbecue sauce.
