Green Hills Brisket
|Beef brisket||5 Pound (Flat)|
|Brown sugar||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Vinegar||1⁄3 Cup (5.33 tbs)|
|Catsup||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Worcestershire sauce||4 Dash|
|Soy sauce||6 Dash|
Line broiler pan or flat pan with foil; place beef in pan.
Salt and pepper well; wrap in foil.
Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour.
Reduce heat to 300 degrees; bake 2 hours.
Combine sugar, vinegar, catsup, Worcestershire sauce and soy sauce.
Drain grease from brisket.
Add 3/4 of the sauce.
Wrap foil loosely around meat; cook 1 hour.
About 20 to 30 minutes before serving, add remaining sauce.
Vary cooking time according to size of brisket.
