Brisket Dinner

Ingredients
  Beef brisket 1
  Water 1 Cup (16 tbs)
  Instant beef broth 10 Ounce (2 sachets)
  Garlic 1 Clove (5 gm), minced
  Bay leaf 1
  Onion 1 , peeled
  Cloves 8
  White onions 12 , peeled
  Carrots 6 , peeled and cut into 2 inch pieces
  Parsnips 6 , peeled and cut into 2 inch pieces
  Salt 2 Teaspoon
  Pepper 1⁄4 Teaspoon
  Mushrooms 6 Large
  All purpose flour 2 Tablespoon
Directions

MAKING
1) Into a Dutch oven brown the meat or into an electric skillet, add the meat with water, beef broth, garlic and bay leaf
2) Stud the meat with the onion and cloves
3) Cover and cook the meat for 1 1/2 hours
4) Tip in the small onion, carrots, parsnips into the liquid and season with salt and pepper
5) Simmer for 45minutes and add in the mushrooms
6) Remove the tender meat onto a serving platter
7) Arrange the vegetable around the edge
8) Remove the studded cloves and onion
9) Strain and pour the liquid into a measuring jar yielding about 4 cup
10) Allow to stand for a minute and then skim off the fat
11) Add water to the broth and add in the flour
12) Cook over the fire till thickened

SERVING
13) Serve the carved meat with the gravy
