|Salt||1 1⁄2 Teaspoon|
|Leaf sage||1 Teaspoon|
|Caraway seed||2 Teaspoon|
|Soft butter||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Sifted flour||3 1⁄4 Cup (52 tbs)|
Combine milk, sugar, salt, nutmeg, sage and caraway seed.
Add yeast; stir until dissolved.
Add egg and butter; stir in flour to make soft dough.
Roll into 8-inch long sticks.
Place 1 inch apart on greased baking sheet.
Let rise until doubled in bulk.
Bake at 350 degrees for 12 to 15 minutes.
