1. Combine roll mix, yeast from packet, and 1/4 cup cheese in a bowl. Add water and next 3 ingredients; stir until moistened. Shape into a ball. Turn out onto a lightly floured surface; knead until smooth and elastic (about 5 minutes). Cover; let rest 5 minutes.
2. Roll dough into a 16- x 12-inch rectangle on a lightly floured surface. Cut rectangle crosswise with a pastry cutter to form 16 strips. Cut strips in half crosswise to form 32 (6-inch) strips.
3. Twist each strip 5 or 6 times; place on baking sheets coated with cooking spray. Spray tops of strips with cooking spray; sprinkle each strip with 1/4 teaspoon cheese.
4. Cover; let rise in a warm place (85°), free from drafts, 20 to 30 minutes or until doubled in bulk. Bake at 375° for 12 minutes or until golden.
