Oatmeal Bread

Oatmeal Bread, coarse and highly nutritious bread, is made with flour, quick cooking rolled oats, yeast, shortening, honey, beaten egg, salt, molasses and water. A sumptuous and substantial main course fare, the basic oatmeal bread recipe is prepared by blending all the ingredients till smooth, allowing the batter to rise and baking it at 425 degrees and then at 325 degrees for 15 minutes and 30 minutes respectively. Oatmeal bread along with leafy green vegetables and seasonings constitutes a healthy lunchtime meal.
