|All purpose flour||2 Cup (32 tbs) (500 Milliliter)|
|Salt||1 Teaspoon (5 Milliliter)|
|Baking powder||1 Teaspoon (5 Milliliter)|
|White sugar||1⁄3 Cup (5.33 tbs) (75 Milliliter)|
|Baking soda||1 Teaspoon (5 Milliliter)|
|Ground quick cooking rolled oats||2 Cup (32 tbs) (500 Milliliter)|
|Molasses||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs) (125 Milliliter)|
|Melted shortening||30 Milliliter, melted (2 Tablespoon)|
|Sour milk||2 Cup (32 tbs) (500 Milliliter)|
|Raisins||1 Cup (16 tbs) (250 Milliliter)|
Sift the first five ingredients together.
Add the oats, molasses, melted shortening and milk.
Mix thoroughly and add the raisins.
Pour into a large greased loaf pan.
Let it set for 20 minutes then bake about 1 hour at 350F (180C).
