Cheese Bread Or Buns
|Sugar||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|
|Hot water||3⁄4 Cup (12 tbs)|
|Salt||1 1⁄2 Teaspoon|
|Dry yeast||1⁄4 Ounce (1 Envelope)|
|Warm water||6 Tablespoon|
|Egg||1 , well beaten|
|Grated cheese||2 Cup (32 tbs)|
|Sifted all-purpose flour||4 Cup (64 tbs)|
Combine hot water, 1/4 cup sugar and salt in a mixing bowl and let cool to lukewarm.
Dissolve 1 tablespoon sugar and yeast in warm water and set aside for 15 minutes.
Add yeast mixture to lukewarm water-sugar mixture.
Stir in egg, cheese and flour.
Turn out on floured board, knead for 2-3 minutes.
Shape into a loaf or buns and place in greased pan.
Cover and let rise until double its bulk.
Bake at 350F for 45 to 50 minutes, buns 10 to 15 minutes.
Browns readily so bake in not too hot an oven.
