This pumpernickel bread recipe is a natural bran and cereal brad made with molasses. Baked simply with a handful of ingredients, this pumpernickel bread is best served with dutch spiced cheese.
Ingredients
  Natural bran 1 1⁄2 Cup (24 tbs)
  Red river cereal 1 1⁄2 Cup (24 tbs)
  Flour 2 Cup (32 tbs)
  Salt 1 Tablespoon
  Molasses 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)
  Boiling water 2 1⁄4 Cup (36 tbs)
Directions

Mix dry ingredients, add molasses and boiling water.
Pour into loaf pan.
Bake at 375°F for 1 hour.
Cover loosely with foil for first 50 minutes.
Very good sliced thin, buttered and topped with dutch spiced cheese.
