Banana Nut Bread

Banana nut bread is a real treat when baked in the mornings for brakfast along with a glass of warm milk or cold coffee. Rich and delicious banana nut bread has the full bodied taste of ripe bananas and nuts in it and keeps you full for a long time.
Ingredients
  Sifted flour 2 Cup (32 tbs)
  Baking powder 1 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Cinnamon 1 Teaspoon
  Baking soda 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Salt 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Cardamom 1⁄8 Teaspoon
  Buttermilk 1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)
  Eggs 2
  Banana pieces 1 1⁄2 Cup (24 tbs)
  Soft shortening 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)
  Sugar 2⁄3 Cup (10.67 tbs)
  Pecans 1 Cup (16 tbs)
Directions

Heat oven to 350°.
Grease a 9 x 5 x 3 loaf pan.
Sift flour, baking powder, salt, baking soda, cinnamon and cardamom into a mixing bowl.
Put remaining ingredients except nuts into Osterizer container, cover and process at BLEND until smooth.
Stop Osterizer Blender, add nuts, cover and process only until nuts are chopped.
Pour into dry ingredients and mix only until flour is moistened.
Pour into prepared nan and bake 1 hour to 1 hour and 15 minutes.
