Toasted Garlic Bread
|Soft butter/Margarine||4 Ounce|
|Garlic||1⁄2 Clove (2.5 gm)|
|Chopped parsley||1 Tablespoon|
|Dried marjoram||1⁄2 Teaspoon|
|Grated cheese||1 Tablespoon|
|French loaf||14 Inch|
Several hours before required, make garlic butter :- combine butter, parsley, cheese, garlic, marjoram and pepper; mix until well blended.
Cut loaf in half lengthwise.
Spread cut sides with garlic butter.
Cut each half diagonally, but not quite through, into 1" slices.
Set the bread aside on an oven tray loosely covered with aluminium foil.
Just before serving, uncover and grill bread, buttered side up, 4" from heat, for about 8 min.
or until lightly toasted.
(Or in aluminium foil.
Serve with the foil.
Cut or pull slices apart.
