|Warm water||3 Cup (48 tbs)|
|Dry yeast||1⁄2 Ounce|
|Molasses||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|
|Brown sugar||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|
|Whole wheat flour||6 Cup (96 tbs)|
|Soya flour||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Skim milk powder||3⁄4 Cup (12 tbs)|
|Wheat germ||3 Tablespoon|
|Brewer's yeast||2 Tablespoon|
|Soft shortening||3 Tablespoon|
Grease 2 loaf pans, 9X5x3 inches or 8 1/2 X 4 1/2 X 2 1/2 inches.
Measure water into large bowl.
Add sugar and stir until sugar is dissolved.
Sprinkle yeast over water and let stand 10 minutes.
Stir in molasses and brown sugar.
Combine whole wheat flour, soya flour, powdered skim milk, wheat germ, brewer's yeast and salt in bowl, mixing with a fork.
Add half of flour mixture and shortening to yeast mixture.
Beat hard with wooden spoon.
Add remaining flour mixture and mix, first with spoon then with hand until well blended.
Turn dough into prepared pans and pat tops flat with lightly floured hand.
Cover with a damp cloth and let rise in a warm place until double, about 1 hour and 15 minutes.
Heat oven to 375 degrees.
Bake about 50 minutes or until loaves sound hollow when tapped on top.
Turn out on racks to cool.
Slice very thin to serve.
