Butterscotch Nut Bread

Ingredients
  All purpose flour 2 Cup (32 tbs)
  Baking powder 1 Teaspoon
  Baking soda 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Salt 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Egg 1
  Brown sugar 1 Cup (16 tbs), firmly packed
  Butter 2 Tablespoon, melted
  Sour milk 1 Cup (16 tbs)
  Walnuts 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs), chopped
Directions

Sift flour, baking powder, soda and salt together.
In mixing bowl beat egg, and add sugar gradually, beating until light.
Add butter or margarine, and blend thoroughly.
Add flour mixture, a little at a time, alternating with sour milk.
Stir to keep mixture smooth.
Add nuts.
Turn into greased loaf pan, 9" x 5" x 3", and bake at 350°F.
1 hour or until done.
Cool loaf completely.
Serve in slices, buttered.
