Bishop's Bread

Ingredients
  Eggs 3 , beaten
  Sugar 1 Cup (16 tbs)
  Butter/Margarine 1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)
  Flour 1 1⁄2 Cup (24 tbs)
  Baking powder 1 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Walnut halves 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)
  Whole brazil nuts 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)
  Dates 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs), cut in halves
  Maraschino cherries 4 Ounce, undrained (1 bottle)
  Chocolate 2 Ounce, cut into large pieces (sweet / semisweet)
Directions

Combine eggs, sugar, butter, flour, and baking powder and beat until smooth. Add to batter the walnuts, Brazil nuts, dates, cherries and juice, and chocolate. Mix only enough to distribute the ingredients. Bake in loaf pan, lined with greased and floured waxed paper, for at least 1 hour, or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean and loaf is well browned. (Bread may be baked in small cans or miniature loaf pans for gift-giving.)
