Chocolate Fruit Bread
|Milk||2 Cup (32 tbs), scalded|
|Sifted flour||13 Cup (208 tbs)|
|Melted butter||5 Tablespoon|
|Chopped candied fruit||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Chocolate chips||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Confectioner' s sugar||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
Mix milk, sugar and salt; cool to lukewarm.
Dissolve yeast in 2 cups warm water; add to milk mixture.
Add 6 cups flour; beat until smooth.
Add butter, 6 cups flour, candied fruit and chocolate chips; mix well.
Knead in remaining flour.
Place in greased bowl; cover.
Let rise for 1 hour and 30 minutes or until doubled in bulk.
Shape into 8 loaves; place in greased loaf pans.
Let rise for 1 hour or until doubled in bulk.
Bake at 400 degrees for 15 minutes.
Reduce oven temperature to 375 degrees; bake for 30 minutes longer.
Sprinkle with confectioners' sugar while hot.
