Directions

MAKING
1) In a bowl mix the yeast, salt and water together
2) Allow to rest for about 10minutes
3) In another bowl break 4 eggs and mix 1 teaspoon anise seeds
4) Add in the oil, sugar, lemon juice, lemon peel , vanilla extract, salt and whisk together
5) Mix this mixture into the yeast mixture
6) Add about ¼ cup milk and melted butter and mix well
7) Add one cup at a time of flour
8) Once kneaded keep in a well oiled bowl covered with a moist with a moist cloth
9) Keep aside for 12 hours
10) Divide the dough into two and braid into two halves
11) Keep aside for 2 hours and bake for 25 minutes
12) Meanwhile make the icing with a cup of powdered icing and 1 tablespoon of lemon juice
13) Pour the icing on top and allow to set

14) Slice and serve
