Oatmeal-Raisin Bread

Ingredients
  Evaporated milk 1 Cup (16 tbs)
  Quick cooking rolled oats 1 Cup (16 tbs)
  Egg 1
  Packed brown sugar 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)
  Salt 1 Teaspoon
  Fine whole wheat flour 1 Cup (16 tbs)
  Baking powder 3 Teaspoon
  Raisins 1 Cup (16 tbs)
  Shortening 2 Tablespoon
Directions

Pour milk over oats; let stand.
Beat egg until light; add brown sugar gradually, beating until fluffy.
Add oat mixture; mix well.
Sift salt, flour and baking powder together; stir into oat mixture until blended.
Stir in raisins and shortening.
Pour into greased 8 1/2 x 4 1/2 x 2 1/2-inch loaf pan.
Bake at 350 degrees for about 50 minutes to 1 hour.
