Soft Batter Bread

Ingredients
  Milk 2 Cup (32 tbs)
  Cornmeal 1 Cup (16 tbs)
  Butter 2 Tablespoon
  Salt 1 Teaspoon
  Eggs 2 Small, separated
  Baking powder 1 1⁄2 Teaspoon
Directions

MAKING
1) Into the saucepan, combine together the milk, cornmeal, butter and salt
2) Over a medium flame, cook the mixture till slightly thickened taking care to stir continuously
3) Take the saucepan off the heat
4) Into a bowl add the egg yolks and using an electric beater, whip till lemon colored
5) Add in 1/4 of the cornmeal hot mixture to the egg yolks and slowly add the remaining hot mixture stirring continuously
6) Add in the baking powder
7) Into another bowl, whip the egg whites till peaks are formed and fold the whites into the cornmeal mixture
8) Pour this into a 1 quart loaf baking dish, lightly greased
9) Bake for 30 minutes at 350F till s skewer inserted comes clean

SERVING
10) Serve the loaf into slices with some soft vanilla butter
