Orange Bread Custard
|Sugar||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|
|Butter||2 Tablespoon, melted|
|Egg||1 , lightly beaten|
|Pure vanilla extract||1 Teaspoon|
|Orange peel||1⁄2 Teaspoon|
|Scalded milk||2 Cup (32 tbs)|
|Bread cubes||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Seedless raisins||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
1 In a bowl, combine sugar, butter, egg, salt, vanilla and orange peel.
2 Gradually add scalded milk, stirring constantly.
3 Add bread cubes and raisins; mix well.
4 Into a 1-quart buttered baking dish, pour the mixture.
5 In a pan of warm water, place the dish.
6 Bake in 350°Fahrenheit oven for 1 hour or until a silver knife comes out clean when inserted in center.
7 Serve as desired.
