|Dry yeast||1⁄4 Ounce|
|Water||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs) (Warm)|
|Warm water||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Evaporated milk||14 1⁄2 Ounce|
|All purpose flour||4 1⁄2 Cup (72 tbs)|
1)In a large mixing bowl, dissolve yeast in warm water and add ginger and 1 tablespoon sugar.
2)Leave it in warm place until mixture begins to bubble.
3)Add remaining sugar, milk, oil, salt and 3 cups flour. Beat at medium speed of electric mixer until smooth.
4)Add remaining flour and knead lightly.
5)Divide the dough into 2 balls.
6)Take 2 greased 1-pound coffee cans and put the balls in them.
7)Place plastic tops on cans and let the dough to rise until lids pop off.
8)Bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes. Cool in cans for 5 minutes.
9)Slice the bread before serving.
Bread may be frozen after baking and heat to serve.
