Dairy Free Date Nut Bread

Ingredients
  Pitted dates 4 Ounce, cut into thirds (1 Package)
  Boiling water 1 Cup (16 tbs)
  Flour 1 3⁄4 Cup (28 tbs)
  Baking soda 1 Teaspoon
  Sugar 1 Cup (16 tbs)
  Salt 1 Dash
  Milk free margarine 1 Tablespoon
  Egg 1 , beaten
  Vanilla 1 Teaspoon
  Nuts 3⁄4 Cup (12 tbs), chopped
Directions

GETTING READY
1) Preheat oven hot to 350°.
2) In a bowl add dates with boiling water. Keep aside.

MAKING
3) in a mixing bowl sift the next four ingredients together.
4) Blend together margarine and egg.
5) Mix date and water mixture to it.
6) Using a spoon stir the mixture until moist.
7) Mix vanilla and nuts.
8) Put into a well-greased 9 x 5 x 3-inch loaf pan.
9) Bake for 45 minutes.
10) If made in two 16-ounce cans, fill about 2/3 full of batter.
11) Stand upright on a baking sheet.
12) Bake for about 30 minutes.

SERVING
13) Serve warm.
