Banana Date Bread
|Date crystals/Finely chopped dates||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Ripe bananas||1 Cup (16 tbs), finely chopped|
|Butter/Other shortening||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Brown sugar||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Unbleached white flour||2 Cup (32 tbs)|
|Baking powder||2 Teaspoon|
1. Preheat oven to 350°F.
2. Mix bananas to chopped dates.
3. Whip sugar and shortening to a creamy mixture. Mix thoroughly beaten eggs with sugar mixture. Sift flour with salt and baking powder and beat into shortening mixture.
4. Take a loaf pan, grease thoroughly, pour in the mixture and bake for 1 hour till bread is completely done and turns brown.
5. Serve sliced with a creamy spread.
