Gourmet, Gourmand or always a mom's baby - you are guaranteed to enjoy this eggless crispies. This recipe for crispies has never failed me. Let me know how it turned out for you?
Ingredients
  Rice cereal 4 Ounce
  Sugar 1 Cup (16 tbs)
  Lemon juice 1 Tablespoon
  Butter 1⁄2 Pound
  Dates 1 Pound, chopped
  Dessicated coconut 1 Cup (16 tbs)
Directions

Put sugar, dates and butter on stove and stir until well mixed and soft.
Remove from heat and add the lemon juice, mixing well.
Stir in the rice cereal.
Sprinkle one large, or two small pans, thickly with desiccated coconut.
Press the cereal mixture well into it.
Sprinkle coconut over the top, pressing down a little.
Leave to set.
Cut into fingers or squares.
The cereal mixture may also be formed into small balls or fingers and rolled in the coconut.
