Ingredients
  Dates 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)
  Sultanas 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)
  Sugar 1 Cup (16 tbs) (small cup)
  Butter 1 Tablespoon
  Seeded raisins 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)
  Currants 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)
  Soda bicarbonate 1 Teaspoon
Directions

Put all the above into a bowl and pour 1 cup boiling water over them.
Add salt, 2 cups flour (V/i-lbs.), 1 tspn, baking powder.
Mix well and bake in a loaf tin at 300 - 350° F for 45 minutes.
