Brown Bread

Ingredients
  Raisins 1 Ounce (1 Box)
  Baking soda 3 Tablespoon
  Salt 1 Tablespoon
  Butter/Margarine 2 Tablespoon
  Boiling water/1 cup water and 1 cup apricot nectar 2 Cup (32 tbs)
  Sugar 2 Cup (32 tbs)
  Chopped nuts 1 Cup (16 tbs)
  Eggs 2
  Vanilla 1 Tablespoon
  Flour 4 Cup (64 tbs)
Directions

Combine raisins, soda, salt, butter and boiling water in a large bowl.
Let cool then add sugar, nuts, eggs and vanilla and stir in the flour.
Mix well.
Grease thoroughly 8 #2 cans and fill about 1/2 full with batter.
Cover with aluminum foil or greased brown paper.
Bake 350 degrees for 1 hour.
When baked, remove from the oven, cool for 5 minutes, then turn out of the cans.
Roll in powdered sugar while still warm.
Cool completely and wrap in aluminum foil and freeze.
