Old Fashioned Bread Stuffing

Ingredients
  Chopped onion 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)
  Butter/Margarine 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)
  Poultry seasoning/Ground sage 1 Teaspoon
  Salt 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Pepper 1⁄8 Teaspoon
  Dry bread cubes 8 Cup (128 tbs)
  Chicken broth/Water 1 Cup (16 tbs)
Directions

Cook onion in butter or margarine till tender; add poultry seasoning or sage, salt, and pepper.
Combine with bread cubes.
Drizzle with broth or water; toss to mix well.
Use to stuff a 10-pound turkey (or two 4- to 5-pound roasting chickens), or bake, covered, in a 2-quart casserole in 325°F oven for 40 to 45 minutes.
