|Sifted flour||3 Cup (48 tbs)|
|Baking powder||4 1⁄2 Teaspoon|
|Sugar||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Eggs||2 , well beaten|
|Milk||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Chopped nut meats||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Butter/Shortening / margarine||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs), melted|
|Shortening||1 Teaspoon (For Greasing Loaf Pan)|
1. Start oven, set at Moderate, 350° F. Rub a 9 by 5 inch loaf pan with shortening.
2. Sift the flour, baking powder, salt and sugar together.
3. Combine eggs and milk and add to flour mixture. Add nuts, stir in the cooled, melted butter, shortening or margarine.
4. Pour into the pan. Bake 50 to 60 minutes.
