Cheese and Beef Snacking Bread
|Milk||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Water||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|
|Vegetable oil||3 Tablespoon|
|Dried minced onion||1 Tablespoon|
|Caraway seeds||1 Teaspoon|
|All purpose flour||3 Cup (48 tbs)|
|Active dry yeast||1⁄4 Teaspoon|
|Shredded cheddar cheese||1 1⁄2 Cup (24 tbs)|
|Smoked sliced beef/Corned beef||2 1⁄2 Ounce, snipped (1 package)|
BREAD MACHINE METHOD
Place room temperature ingredients, except egg white, cheese and beef, in pan in order listed. Select dough cycle. Because this is a batter bread you will need to help the mixing using a rubber spatula. At end of kneading cycle, remove batter and follow shaping and baking instructions. Do not allow dough to rise in the machine.
Combine 1 cup flour, yeast, caraway seeds, onion, salt and sugar. Heat milk, water and oil to 120° to 130°F; add to flour mixture. Beat 3 minutes on medium speed. Add egg yolk; beat 1 minute. Add remaining flour to make stiff batter.
SHAPING AND BAKING
Spread batter evenly in greased 15 x 10-inch baking pan. Brush with lightly beaten egg white. Sprinkle with beef and cheese. Bake in preheated 375°F oven 25 to 30 minutes or until golden brown. Cut into squares and serve warm.
