I don't think you could ever get tired of fresh, warm bread from the oven and this easy Country White Bread recipe for the bread maker makes it super simple to have it more often.
Ingredients
  Water 1 Cup (16 tbs) (+ 2 Tbsp)
  Flour 2 3⁄4 Cup (44 tbs)
  Dry milk 2 Tablespoon
  Sugar 2 Tablespoon
  Salt 1 3⁄4 Teaspoon
Butter 2 Tablespoon, cut into 4 small cubes
Fast rise yeast 1 1⁄2 Teaspoon
Directions

MAKING
1. In the bread maker, add the ingredients in the following order (or as suggested in the bread maker manual), water, all purpose flour, dried milk powder, sugar and salt.
2. Using a spatula move the flour to the corners of the bread maker and add the pieces of butter in the 4 corners of the bread maker. Add the rapid rise yeast in the middle of the bread maker.
3. Put the machine on the rapid white bread setting, and bake the bread for 3 hours and 40 minutes.
4. Once done, remove the 1 and 1/2 pound loaf from the bread maker and let it cool down on the rack for 15 minutes before slicing it.

SERVING
5. Slice the white bread, into desired pieces and serve with a bowl of hot soup.

I have a question. I want to make bread (the dough) in my 2 lb breadmaker, but want to transfer the mix from the breadmaker into breadpans to bake in the oven and am not sure the best way to do this and at what temp/how long/how many pans?

Here is a recipe where you can make the dough in the bread maker (proportion of ingredients for 2 pound maker) and bake in the bread pans. http://www.ifood.tv/recipe/white-bread-daily-loaf Here is a more detailed making process video that you can follow. http://www.ifood.tv/recipe/how_to_make_homemade_bread

what kind of flour are you using? can you use reg flour instead of the bread flour?

yes you can use regular flour. It is however better to get a high gluten flour to make bread. This helps to ferment the dough better.

Hi :) I was wondering if i can use olive oil instead of butter in the bread machine recipies. Its cheaper and better for me. Any suggestions?

Hi Heleneburk, yes you sure and substitute olive oil for butter while making bread. Not only is it cheaper and healthier, but taste good too. If you want a sweeter bread, use a vegetable oil which does not have a prominent flavor and aroma like olive oil. You could also use a non-hydrogenated vegetable margarine instead of butter. Let me warn you that your bread will not have that gorgeous buttery aroma if you use oil. And the bread may turn out to be slightly denser than that made using butter.
