Herbed Cheese Bread

Ingredients
  Unsalted butter 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs) (1 Stick)
  Garlic cloves 1 Clove (5 gm), minced
  Fresh basil/1 1/2 teaspoons dried basil leaves 1 1⁄2 Tablespoon, crumbled
  Fresh oregano/1/4 teaspoon dried oregano, preferably greek 1 Teaspoon
  Fresh marjoram/Generous pinch of dried marjoram 1⁄4 Teaspoon
  Salt To Taste
  Freshly ground pepper To Taste
  Italian bread loaf/French bread loaf 1 Large, split in half lengthwise
  Swiss cheese/Gruyere cheese 3 Ounce, shredded
  Freshly grated imported parmesan cheese 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)
Directions

Combine butter, garlic, herbs, salt and pepper to taste in small saucepan and heat until butter is melted.
Pour over cut sides of bread, then sprinkle with cheeses.
Wrap in foil.
About 20 minutes before ready to serve, place bread in oven and turn temperature to 375°F.
Heat until bread is hot and crusty about 20 minutes (if necessary, open foil to allow bread to crisp).
Slice diagonally and pass in napkin-lined basket.
