Traditional Date Nut Bread
|Wondra flour||2 1⁄2 Cup (40 tbs)|
|Nuts||1 Cup (16 tbs), chopped|
|Dates||1 Cup (16 tbs), chopped|
|Packed brown sugar||3⁄4 Cup (12 tbs)|
|Buttermilk||1 1⁄4 Cup (20 tbs)|
|Vegetable oil||1⁄3 Cup (5.33 tbs)|
|Baking soda||1 Teaspoon|
|Baking powder||1⁄2 Teaspoon|
Heat oven to 350°.
Grease loaf pan, 9 x 5 x 3 or 8 1/2 x 4 1/2 x 2 1/2 inches.
Mix all ingredients in large bowl; pour into pan.
Bake 60 to 65 minutes or until wooden pick inserted in center comes out clean.
Immediately remove from pan; cool completely before slicing.
Store tightly covered.
