Banana Nut Bread
|Sugar||1 1⁄2 Cup (24 tbs)|
|Shortening||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Bananas||3 Large, mashed|
|Baking powder||1⁄4 Teaspoon|
|Flour||3 Cup (48 tbs), sifted|
|Chopped nuts||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
Cream the sugar and shortening in a bowl.
Stir in the eggs and bananas.
Add the salt, soda and baking powder to flour, then stir into the banana mixture.
Fold in the nuts.
Pour into 3 greased coffee cans.
Bake at 325 degrees for about 1 hour.
