Basil Lemon Garlic Bread
|French bread loaf||1 Pound (1 Loaf)|
|Olive oil||1⁄3 Cup (5.33 tbs)|
|Butter||1 Tablespoon, melted|
|Dried basil leaves||1 Tablespoon|
|Ground red pepper||1 Dash|
|Lemon juice||1 Tablespoon|
|Grated lemon peel||2 Teaspoon|
|Finely chopped fresh garlic||1⁄2 Teaspoon|
Slice French bread diagonally into 1/2-inch slices, cutting two thirds through loaf.
Heat oven to 400°.
In small bowl stir together all ingredients except French bread.
Brush cut sides of French bread with olive oil mixture.
Wrap in aluminum foil; place on cookie sheet.
Bake for 15 to 20 minutes or until heated through.
