Sift the flour and soda together.
Cream the butter and sugar in a bowl, then beat in the egg and salt.
Add the flour mixture alternately with orange juice, mixing well after each addition.
Fold in the cranberries and walnuts and turn into a greased loaf pan.
Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour.
