Dill Cottage Cheese Bread
|All purpose flour||2 1⁄2 Cup (40 tbs)|
|Active dry yeast||1⁄4 Ounce (1 Package)|
|Finely chopped onions||1 Tablespoon|
|Dill seed||2 Teaspoon|
|Cream style cottage cheese||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Water||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|
In large mixer bowl combine 1 1/2 cups of the flour, yeast, onion, and dillseed.
In saucepan heat cottage cheese, water, sugar, butter, and salt just till warm (115° to 120°) and butter is almost melted; stir constantly.
Add to flour mixture; add egg.
Beat at low speed of electric mixer for 1/2 minute, scraping bowl.
Beat 3 minutes at high speed.
By hand, stir in remaining flour.
Cover; let rise till double, about 1 hour.
Spread evenly in greased 9x5x3-inch loaf pan.
Cover; let rise till almost double (about 30 minutes).
Bake in 350° oven 25 to 30 minutes.
Remove from pan.
If desired, brush with melted butter; sprinkle with additional dillseed.
