Whole Wheat Honey Bread
|Whole wheat flour||1 1⁄2 Cup (24 tbs)|
|All purpose flour||2⁄3 Cup (10.67 tbs)|
|Baking powder||2 Teaspoon|
|Baking soda||1⁄2 Teaspoon|
|Egg||1 , beaten|
|Buttermilk||1 1⁄4 Cup (20 tbs) (or sour milk)|
|Honey||1⁄3 Cup (5.33 tbs)|
|Butter||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs), melted|
|Walnuts||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs), chopped|
|Raisins||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
In mixing bowl stir together the flours, baking powder, soda, and salt.
Combine egg, buttermilk, honey, and butter; add to dry ingredients, stirring just till moistened.
Fold in nuts and raisins.
Turn into greased 8x4x2-inch loaf pan.
Bake in 375° oven for 50 to 60 minutes or till done.
Cool 10 minutes.
Remove from pan; cool thoroughly.
Wrap and store overnight.
