Quick Allspice Orange Nut Bread
|All purpose flour||2 Cup (32 tbs)|
|Sugar||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Baking powder||1 Teaspoon|
|Baking soda||1⁄2 Teaspoon|
|Orange rind||2 Tablespoon, grated|
|Orange juice||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Butter||3 Tablespoon, melted|
|Nuts||1 Cup (16 tbs), chopped|
Into large bowl sift flour with sugar, baking powder, allspice, salt, and baking soda.
Beat egg thoroughly and combine with orange rind, juice, and melted butter.
Add liquid to flour mixture all at once.
Stir only until well blended.
Stir in nuts.
Bake in well-greased loaf pan (9 x 5x3 inches) in preheated moderate oven (350Â°F.) for about 50 minutes, or until loaf tests clean.
Cool for 5 minutes before removing from pan.
Cool completely before slicing.
