Glazed Cranberry Orange Nut Bread

Ingredients
  Sugar 1 Cup (16 tbs)
  Flour 18 Tablespoon (1 cup plus 2 tablespoon)
  Salt 1 Teaspoon
  Baking powder 2 Teaspoon
  Soda 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Orange juice 1 Cup (16 tbs)
  Orange 1 , peel grated
  Melted shortening 1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)
  Chopped cranberries 1 Cup (16 tbs)
  Chopped nuts 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)
  Egg 1 , beaten
For glaze
  Sugar 1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)
  Coarsely chopped cranberries 2 Tablespoon
  Orange juice 2 Tablespoon
Directions

Sift dry ingredients together.
Combine the remaining ingredients.
Lightly mix all the ingredients together.
Bake in a lightly greased loaf pan at 375° for 40-50 min
Toothpick should come out clean when done.
Glaze: Mix sugar, cranberries and orange juice together.
Cook slowly until a thick syrup forms.
Pour over top of loaf while both are still hot.
