|Bread slice/3 french dinner rolls cut into slices||6 , about 1/4 in. thick, cut into halves|
|Ground cinnamon||1⁄4 Teaspoon|
|Castor sugar||1⁄2 Ounce|
|Maraschino||87 1⁄2 Milliliter (1/2 small glass, optional)|
|Clarified butter/Frying-fat||1 1⁄2 Cup (24 tbs)|
Cut the crusts off the bread and place the bread in a deep dish.
Beat the egg and egg yolk, add the milk, cinnamon, sugar and maraschino, if used.
Stir well, and pour over the bread.
Leave to soak for 10 min Carefully lift out the slices of bread and let them drain.
Fry in hot fat or clarified butter until golden brown on both sides.
Drain, sprinkle with castor sugar and cinnamon.
