Autumn Pear Bread

Ingredients
  All purpose flour 2 Cup (32 tbs)
  Sugar 1 Cup (16 tbs)
  Baking powder 1 Teaspoon
  Baking soda 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Salt 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Ground nutmeg 1⁄8 Teaspoon
  Butter 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)
  Eggs 2
  Butter milk 1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)
  Vanilla extract 1 Teaspoon
  Ripe pears 1 Cup (16 tbs), finely chopped
Directions

In a large bowl, combine dry ingredients; cut in butter until mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
In a small bowl, beat eggs, buttermilk and vanilla; stir into dry ingredients just until moistened.
Fold in the pears.
Spoon into three greased 5-in.x 2-1/2-in.x 2-in.mini-loaf pans.
Bake at 350° for 35-40 minutes or until a wooden pick inserted near the center comes out clean.
Cool in pans 10 minutes before removing to wire racks to cool completely.
