  Granulated sugar 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)
  Salt 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Butter/Margarine 1⁄4 Pound (At Room Temperature)
  Egg yolks 4 Large
  Vanilla 2 Teaspoon
  Lemon peel 3⁄4 Teaspoon, grated
  All purpose flour 3 1⁄4 Cup (52 tbs)
  Butter/Margarine 1 Tablespoon, melted
  Diced candied orange peel 3⁄4 Cup (12 tbs)
  Blanched almonds 1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)
  Egg white 1 Large, beaten
  Sugar cubes 6 , crushed
Directions

In a large bowl, sprinkle yeast over warm water; let stand until foamy (about 5 minutes).
Add granulated sugar, salt, the 1/2 cup butter, egg yolks, vanilla, lemon
