Microwaved Garlic Bread
|Butter||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Garlic powder||1 1⁄2 Teaspoon, pressed|
|Pepper||1⁄4 Teaspoon (Preferably Freshly Ground)|
|French bread loaf||1 , slashed 2/3 of the way through at 1 inch intervals (14 Inch Size)|
1. Combine butter, garlic, salt, and pepper in a 2-cup glass measure. Microwave, uncovered, at Time Cook (power level 4) for 1 to 1 1/2 minutes, or until butter is softened, but not melted. Beat to blend.
2. Spread butter mixture between slashes in bread. Wrap loaf loosely in wax paper if a soft loaf is desired, but leave unwrapped for a slightly crisp loaf. Microwave at Time Cook (power level 10) for 3 to 5 minutes, or until hot.
